For me Portland has been home since 1974, and I lived here when I was a kid, from 1951 to 1955. I love this place for many reasons, and the primary one is that people are friendly, welcoming, sharing, serious, hard-working, goofy and fun-loving. In Portland, you can be yourself and that's just fine with everyone. Here you are appreciated for your talents and capabilities and your qualities as a person. Portland is also bustling with energy and creativity, much of it supplied by young people, so it's a good place to build a career or business that doesn't fit the norm. And of course if you enjoy beautiful places, it's hard to beat. Look forward to meeting on your tour! Good question!
